Ancestors: The humankind Odyssey best graphics settings to fix lag

Resolution: Max

Ancestors is one of the most visually enticing games there is. With a higher resolution the game looks amazing and most importantly helps your game play.

Higher resolution is also better for you eyesight so always use the max resolution of your monitor.

Fullscreen Mode: Fullscreen

An obvious choice for a a visual game like Ancestors: The humankind Odyssey. Full screen mode lets you experience the game in a immersive way making the experience a lot better. Windows puts higher priority to full screen applications so you will get a better performance as well.

Frame Rate Limit: Highest Possible

Higher FPS means smoother game play. You need to reach at least your monitor refresh rate. So if you have a 144hz monitor its recommended that you have 144FPS. Since this is not a online game even 60FPS is more than enough.

Vsync: Off/On

If you have a decent GPU with more than 6GB VRAM then turn this on. Otherwise disable it for some added FPS.

Graphics Quality: Custom

Graphics quality will be custom since we will be manually editing each of the options.

Advanced Settings:

View Distance: Medium or High

Higher view distance is recommended since it lets you spot enemies as well as in-game items from afar. Takes a lot of GPU VRAM so if you have a low end GPU then use Medium. If you have a recent GPU say an RTX then high settings are best for you.

Visual Effects: Medium

This is a personal preference to be honest. If you want the best FPS boost then use low settings. The game looses a few effects so I prefer to use medium settings. But if you have low FPS then the only option is low visual effects.

Shadow Quality: Low

Keep this setting at low. Shadow is a memory hog and takes a lot of GPU power. Low quality shadows are more than enough and unless you are already getting above 200FPS do not set it to high.

Texture Quality: Medium or High

High settings are the best if you have at least a 6GB VRAM. If you have less memory then you have to choose Medium settings. This setting is dependent of GPU memory Size. So choose accordingly.

Post Processing: Medium

Medium settings help render the game faster since the game is already processed the textures before you use them. This option requires VRAM so if you only have a 2GB graphics card then you should set it to low. If you have a 8GB graphics card then high settings are best for you.

Foliage quality: Medium

This again comes down to personal preference. Its a jungle game so foliage makes the game look really good. But for those with low FPS setting this option at low will give a great FPS boost.

If you already have more than 60FPS then use Medium settings. If you have low FPS then use low foliage quality settings in Ancestors The Human Kind Odyssey.
