This growing esports scene has generated some fantastic esports teams.
It takes a lot of skill to be the best in a country with such a huge pool of talent, so here is a list of the best Indian esports teams.

SOUL is by far the most popular PUBG esports team in India. While PUBG may not be the most popular esports in India, their skill and determination have rocketed them to popularity.

They were initially formed to compete in DreamHack Mumbai in 2018. Since then, they have won every national esports tournament in India.


They are the best PUBG esports team in India, but they have yet to win a global championship. Their current roster may not reach the heights of the initial team, but they are still the most popular PUBG Indian esports team.

They also finished second in eXTREMESLAND CS: GO Asia 2019 – South Asia.

The organization has also fielded teams in Fortnite, Rainbow Six: Siege, Dota 2, Apex Legends, and PUBG. They may not be the absolute best team going right now, but with such huge advancements in their careers so early in the team’s history, they could quickly become a force to be reckoned with globally and be one of the best Indian esports teams.

They are far more comparable to the major esports organizations like Cloud9 or Fnatic than they are to a single game esports team. They are a major organization but spreading themselves too thin has pushed them further down the list.

They were India’s best performing PUBG Mobile team in 2019 and placed sixth in PUBG Mobile World League 2020. They may never reach the heights they managed in 2019 but their immense skill and prowess have positioned them as one of the best PUBG Mobile teams in South Asia and a great pick if you want to bet on esports in India.

GXR Celtz is another PUBG Mobile esports team, they are one of the big three mobile esports teams on the subcontinent and their record shows that. They had a 9th place finish in PUBG Mobile Club Open – Spring Split 2020: India but from that disappointing result, the team went on to win the PUBG Mobile Pro League – Spring Split 2020: South Asia.

The team has had some roster changes recently, but they are still some of the best players in India. Spread across a diverse international roster of 10 teams the organization has professionals from 22 countries. Since its introduction to the competitive gaming scene in 2019, the team has fielded lineups in titles such as CS: GO, League of Legends, Dota 2, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty: Mobile, Rocket League, and Fortnite.


The organization entered India on 3rd July 2020 by acquiring the roster of the then PUBG Mobile team.

In late April 2021, team captain Marzil announced his retirement from the CS: GO competitive scene and made the move over to Valorant esports. This major shift in the team dynamics has left the BL4ZE Esports organization in limbo.

Total Gaming Esports is an Indian Free Fireteam. Despite Free Fire having a relatively small global reach, Total Gaming Esports is becoming a hugely popular esports team and content brand.

The team has won the Free Fire India Championship 2020 Fall and was 8th in the Free Fire Continental Series 2020: Asia. Outside of tournaments, the team has a YouTube channel with nearly 20 million subscribers.

The team has been unable to compete in official PUBG Mobile tournaments since the game was banned in India in Sept. 2020. However, the uncertainty around the future of the mobile game has forced them to release their roster and halt operations.

Last year was poised to be a breakout period for Indian esports, however, that was dampened following the country’s ban on PUBG Mobile. Nevertheless, 2020 still saw investors enter the region’s esports landscape to access this new potential fan base, along with its engagement opportunities and growing viewership. Following Fnatic and TSM’s expansion into India 2019, Team Vitality became the third tier-one western organization to set foot in India after announcing plans way back in November 2019.  This is their first major move outside of Europe and they are certain to gain many fans, Vitality is not just a European team, they have a global fanbase.


The team is mostly known for the Call of Duty Mobile team led by Arav “MonK” Narang. The roster is made up of Armaan “Moonscope” Dharni, Priyank “DEATH” Birajdar, Akshan “Argon” Madhani, Samartha Ganesh “JOKOs” Ghadge, and Samruddha “SAMS” Ghadge. This team will be coached by veteran CoD player Harnoor “Toxy” Mutneja. They have already established players and their popularity is sure to grow.
